Job Overview:

EDCO, a leading manufacturer in Frederick, Maryland, is looking to add a detail oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our growing team. The Human Resources Assistant will report directly to the Human Resources Director, provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with various HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the field of human resources.

Duties:

– Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes

– Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy

– Coordinate and schedule interviews

– Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings and candidate screening

– Support employee evaluation processes

– Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and changes

– Provide general administrative support to the HR department

– Assist with all employee engagement events and initiatives

– Assist with HR projects as assigned, such as talent management or performance management initiatives

Qualifications:

Associates Degree (or working towards) in Human Resources or related field preferred

– 1+ years of experience in an HR administrative role or similar position

– Knowledge of HRIS systems such as ADP

– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

– Strong project management skills
