EDCO is hiring a full-time Regional Sales Manager for the West Coast territory. Applicants must reside in the California, Washington, or Oregon area. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for handling rental and contractor supply channel accounts in the West Coast territory for existing and potential customers. The Regional Sales Manager will also focus on National Account development at the branch and upper management levels. This position will develop, coordinate, present, and implement product training programs to EDCO customers as needed. States in the territory will include CA, HI, NV, WA, OR, ID, MT, AK, CO, UT, WY, AZ, NM.

The Starting Salary Pay Range for this position is $93,676.00 to $103,611.00

Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversees handling of rental and contractor supply channel accounts in the territory in a professional manner to existing and potential customers. Focuses on National Account development at the branch and upper management levels.
  • Responsible for sourcing and training of EDCO outside sales representatives/staff in coordination with senior management and the human resources department.
  • Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts in a systematic order, analyze and organize activities in the territory; develop territory sales plan by account and product.
  • Works with factory and dealer for issues related to problem solving, issues and deliveries.
  • In coordination with Sales Director of Rental, gain and maintain product, application and competitive knowledge on all EDCO products.
  • Using an EDCO supplied camera phone, safely capture video clips and pictures of job site visits, EDCO products applications in action, and training classes. Such images, videos and corresponding write up will be shared with the EDCO marketing department for the purposes of publishing on all EDCO Social Media platforms.
  • Reports market trends for new product introductions.
  • Engage in active selling. Guide and direct sales activity within the area of sales responsibility in support of EDCO.
  • Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows as required.
  • Introduce new products—demonstrate, prospect, describe features and benefits, answer questions regarding new product applications.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling of dealer visits, trade shows, demonstrations, sales calls and activities.
  • Schedule and perform product sales and service training classes with distributors and dealers.
  • Work with dealer and distributor sales force to establish contractor awareness and visit job sites.
  • Follow-up and distribute sales leads.
  • Monitor all consignment stock or demonstration equipment in peak operating condition.
  • Submit call reports and expense reports as requested within a specified time frame. Participate in weekly conference calls with executives and EDCO Marketing teams.
  • May assist in obtaining credit information from new accounts.
  • Entertain customers and maintain goodwill in a professional manner representing EDCO.
  • Operate company vehicle safely and in conformance with traffic laws; responsible for proper maintenance of vehicle; report any problems and accidents, as soon as possible, to corporate headquarters.

  • Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Work experience in lieu of degree may be considered based on experience type and skills set.
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience with construction equipment or whole goods products.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to demonstrate understanding of mechanical products.
  • Possesses or has ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Good communication skills, a high degree of initiative, enthusiasm and sound decision making skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% – 80% of work time.
  • Successful candidate must live in this sales area of primary responsibility.
